Chinook is a 1995 16.2h Dutch Warmblood X TB. She is still rather green and needs a patient, quiet, experienced rider.
She has been out of work for the last few months, and is rather out of shape. She is quite rusty right now but she remembers things rather quickly with consistant work- something i am not able to do for her.
I am looking for a backyard barn home for her, with all day or 24 hour turnout (she was happiest and easiest to handle when she was living in an in-and-out stall with 5 other horses).
She is barefoot this winter and has had no problems with that. However if she were to go to a home where you would be riding on the roads or out on rocky trails she does best in front shoes.
She is a cute mover, loves to jump, and has a very comfortable canter. She will NOT make an event horse, she CAN NOT be ridden in the woods by herself (she will rear if you try to make her go by herself). However she is absolutely fine in the ring by herself, and wonderful on trails if she has a couple of buddies.
